I think they really care about the oil-pipe going through Georgia. If the US is so keen on playing the almighty saviour, they would have reacted sooner on what happened in former Yugoslavia. But there Europe and the US find it normal to first let millions of people die and then finaly throw a view bombs on the place to make it stop. The same in South Ossetia. Russia protects its citicens there and at the same time saves half the Ossetian population. But because there is no oil-pipe through South Osseti, Europe and the US ignore the genocide on Ossetians and is more afraid of Georgia being invaded by Russia after their own stupid actions.
